Participation at IPA Seminars in 2008-2009

CSTI has been actively participating in a series of cross-border awareness seminars from mid-2008 until spring 2009. These seminars, organised by the Cross Border Institution Building (CBIB) http://www.cbib-eu.org/welcome/index.html and Secretariat for European Integration in Montenegro, aimed to inform potential beneficiaries in the Western Balkans about IPA, cross-border programmes and upcoming activities related to the implementation of the programmes.

The seminars set the basis for the participation in the training sessions on preparation of project proposals, EC procedures and regulations that will be governing the implementation of EU funded projects.

In the preparation for the upcoming Calls for Proposals, CSTI also participated and contributed to several training sessions and events with the following purposes:

  • to create a platform for potential applicants from eligible countries in cross-border programmes, to meet and get to know each other, exchange project ideas and search for potential partners.
  • to create the opportunity for all interested potential beneficiaries to gain knowledge on the approach and logic in the preparation of grant proposals based on EC procedures, application and evaluation process.

As result of this process, CSTI recognised its partner in Bosnia and Herzegovina and jointly defined the project outline; now we are facing the biggest challenge in project submission and implementation. We are still looking for potential partners on the other borders.
