The project "Time Travel - A Cultural Renaissance from Lake Skadar to Kosovo" is aimed at strengthening cultural tourism across Montenegro and Kosovo. It is funded by the European Union through the IPA II Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Montenegro-Kosovo (2014-2020). With a total budget of EUR 404,235.73, the EU contributes 85% of the funding, while the Ministry of Public Administration and Digital Society of Montenegro co-finances the Montenegrin component with EUR 24,335.00.
The Community Development Fund (CDF) from Kosovo is the lead partner on the project. Project partners include the Municipality of Klina (Kosovo), the Center for Sustainable Tourism Initiatives - CSTI (Montenegro), and the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro - NTO.The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality and diversity of tourism products based on the cultural and natural heritage in the border areas of Montenegro and Kosovo.The specific goal is to develop a cross-border thematic tourism offer that protects, interprets, and promotes heritage sites through a modern model of thematic trails and joint marketing strategies.
