CSTI at the Skadar Conference – 13 and 14 March 2008

CSTI Executive Director participated at the stakeholders' workshop for the formulation of the workplan for the "Proposal for an Integrated Sustainable Development Programme across Borders" that was jointly funded by ADA, CIDA, UNEP and SNV. Beside the representatives from these organizations, the list of participants included the Board of Trustees of the Balkan Peace Project Park, GTZ, the Embassy of the Netherlands, WWF, Euronatur, ProFound from the Netherlands, the Swiss Development Cooperation, representatives from institutions and NGOs from Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo.

The agenda offered possible orientation of the envisioned cross-border integrated development programme and a possible process for developing a programme proposal by mid-2008; the various stakeholders groups were facilitated in order to discuss various details of the LFA and an attempt to reach a joint-agreement was made by the end of the workshop. CSTI actively participated in the tourism group and discussed its role in the future development of the project proposal with potential implementation partners and prospective donors.
