The third Regional Competitiveness Initiative Conference in Southeast Europe was held in Przno, Montenegro, from 20 to 22 May 2008. The RCI Conference had the goal of enhancing regional competitiveness by sharing the best practices in tourism and agribusiness, business service delivery mechanisms and e-solutions, drawing on experiences from a wide variety of USAID projects.
CSTI Executive Director, Slavica Vukcevic, presented one segment of CSTI's work under at a session focused on Promoting South-East Europe Tourism Globally with Specialty Tourism Products. The Montenegro Case Study was focused on the projects implemented by CSTI that had dealt with the issues such as how to narrow the performance gap between North and South in relation to economic growth, how to kick off tourism projects in an area that was "invisible" as a tourist destination even in Montenegro.

During the second and third day, CSTI actively participated in the tourism group.
In addition, CSTI and MA supported the organizers of the conference by organizing a Photography Adventure Exhibition as well as a matchmaking event, in cooperation with FORS Montenegro, and invited two travel agencies from the north of Montenegro to present their activities.
